Every year since I was a child, I’ve traveled with my family to my mother’s home village of Riceys Bas, France. Each visit was a celebration of sorts—we were finding joy in the beauty of the region, learning my mother’s history, and spending time with family.
Given that our family’s ancestral home is in the Champagne region, I have always associated champagne with these shared moments.
Champagne was a part of so many celebrations – simple get-togethers, hellos to old friends, birthdays for beloved neighbors, and, of course, holidays. For us, champagne is not simply a drink for New Year’s Eve. It is a way to express love, joy, and appreciation with friends both old and new.
For our wedding, my husband and I decided to ship in champagne directly from our village in France. What better way to share our love than by sharing something that is made with love? Sharing the champagne from Les Riceys, part of so many special moments in my family, allowed us to thank our friends and family for their love and support.
Our wedding day was the first day many of our friends had tried champagne from our village. They raved about the taste, the aroma, and the nuanced flavor. The feeling of giving them something so dear to our hearts filled our hearts with love just as much as the vows we spoke in church. It was then that we knew we wanted to import champagne. We want everyone to experience the magic of the champagne from Les Riceys.
It is our mission to invite anyone who likes champagne to know this simple truth: champagne need not be just for Valentine’s Day, or a birthday…savor it with a great pizza, or uncork it with an old friend stopping by to say “Hi”…sip it with the first day of spring or a warm fire in the fall. Enjoy champagne not only during the big moments but the small ones as well …in our opinion, those tend to be the best reasons to celebrate.
